Alphajet
After 4 years apart, I would leave a few words here, this time on my other passion which is model airplanes. Incidentally, this issue deserves a post in itself, so soon, the story of how I started.
However, for now, and jumping over 16 years since the first time I flew a model, leave a photo documentary of the construction of newer plane "landed" at home. A Dassault Alphajet Wings in the colors of Portugal.
The assembly of the airplane is easy. However, like any model made in China "is not so much the quality of materials used, but pre-assembly. So everything is already done or installed is reviewed. So are some comments and changes I made.
Material scattered all over the table to begin. The manual that comes to be forgotten. There are some pictures of what they do but even without anyone there came. Have to say where to use five bolts of different sizes is that it was good. The only really useful information is the CG (center of gravity).
The fan is easily accessed from below, removing two screws and a lid. Yet it is glued on top, so if a day is even necessary to have to force yourself to get there.
The inverter comes without labels or references to brand and model, but as the plane is the FMS with some research concludes that it is a mark of "C & G Hobby." It is 50A and BEC is a separate circuit.
The rest of the material also comes without any labels. In the next photo to see if the two tail-mounted servos that operate both in the elevator. This model has no rudder, but the rudder channel on the radio is used to control the nose wheel. And notice the scotch tape to hold those cards! Another Chinese pearl! Obviously not let it stay that way for me not to venture off into full flight.
Well, as to the actual assembly, the wings are glued to the central chamber with epoxy. It has no spar. But though he is strong QB just in case reinforced the joint with tape fibers. I do not feel like it clap your hands in the air.
Nose and the state is also pasted this:
The tail assembly does not take any glue. Only screws. First is bolted to the horizontal stabilizer, on top, and then acenta the vertical stabilizer and screw underneath. The end result is solid and we get access to the servants of some back if ever give the roar.
And on to the electronics. This comes with two Y-links to both the elevator and two servants for the ailerons. However I chose to use separate links for individual adjustment of each servant, and thus rely on the functions and flaperon ailelevator that my radio is Futaba. The inverter placed it with the heatsink facing down so that the airflow that the fan generates help it cool. It is seen in the 2nd picture where he is:
In front, enough room to work. The Lipo is one of 2450mAh 4S and leaning left behind even in the CG point.
And is ready assembled. The wing bolts and fits behind the front. The canopy fits on the front and attach with magnet back. Good solutions to facilitate transport and prevents airborne jump off something.
As final remarks, noted that swapped the coming four clevis. The source allowed too much slack. And yet it was not perfect, but it is the very hinge used. To no longer move. We'll see after flying.
It is missing the flight. Now we'll wait for good weather. I leave you with a static photo session:
